Hello fellow soul-catchers, welcome,

Summer is here. I don’t garden but I do marvel at growth - when one day, something peeks its head out and the next, it has become what we imagined, and more.

I am thrilled to launch our collaboration with BZIPPY & Co. Artist Bari Ziperstein is known for her experimentation and innovation in ceramics - and now she has brought her approach to a new line of BZIPPY x Sparrow urns. These are forms we love to see pop. These are what we want more of in the world.

The latest to pop up in the Sparrow office? Industry veteran Russell Gonzales. He’s our new Senior Director. We welcome him and his years of experience working for Riverside Memorial Chapel and Frank E. Campbell in New York City - he knows what he’s doing and he believes in what we’re doing.

All of this is our path to build toward new openings, in new places, to expand upon our mission to help people in times of grief.

One more thing. With summer upon us, I like to go out and smell something in full bloom. Why?  If you smell it, it will become part of you - for a moment. I rarely wear scents so that was my take away after reading this Vanity Fair article on perfume. How wild.
